<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt driving transmitting device by which a belt is prevented from coming off a pulley owing to the movement of the belt when a rotary body to be rotated with an image carried thereon is rotated and driven. <P>SOLUTION: The drum shaft 3 of a photoreceptor drum 4 is pivotally supported by a frame 1 via a bearing 2, a motor 10 is attached, and a drum pulley 8 is fitted to the drum shaft 3. The motor pulley 11 is pressed into the driving shaft 10a of the motor 10, and a magnetic belt 9-1 is disposed over a part between the motor pulley 11 and the drum pulley 8. The drum pulley 8 is constituted of the magnet body drum pulley 8-1, and a magnet body is arranged to be polarized into the north pole and the south pole. Magnetic lines generated in the magnet body drum pulley 8-1 are substantially in parallel with the width direction of the magnetic belt 9-1, and the permeable belt tends to return to a position (posture) which is stable with respect to the magnetic lines.
