According to the present invention, a method to manufacture a thick plate comprises: a step of heating a slab in a heating furnace; a step of measuring a thickness of the slab; a step of adjusting a height of a header of a scale breaking device to maintain the thickness of the slab, and a predetermined distance; a step of extracting the slab from the heating furnace if the height of the header is adjusted; and a step of moving the extracted slab to the scale breaking device. The present invention prevents the slab from being reversely guided into the heating furnace; thereby minimizing failure and energy abuse caused by unnecessary works to save manufacturing costs. |
