PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new electrophotographic photoreceptor using in a photosensitive layer a high molecular weight compound derived from DNA and having a structure derived from a photosensitizing dye in a part thereof and to further provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having enhanced sensitivity and extended selectivity of exposure wavelength, a process cartridge with the electrophotographic photoreceptor and an electrophotographic apparatus. SOLUTION: In an electrophotographic photoreceptor having on an electrically conductive support a photosensitive layer comprising a high molecular weight compound derived from organic solvent-soluble DNA, the high molecular weight compound has a structure derived from a photosensitizing dye in a part thereof.
