PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cleaning a fiber product by which excellent detergency is obtained without causing damage or discoloration of a cloth by using ultrasound. SOLUTION: The coated part of a fiber product on which a liquid detergent is coated is soaked in an aqueous liquid at least 90% of which is composed of water, and the coated part is brought into contact with an ultrasonic oscillating body vibrating at a rate of 1-10 m/s at the position of within 5 cm from the liquid surface in the depth direction.
