PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging box for a water heater with which it does not take time until using in a state of a pattern paper, a state of a rear face of the pattern paper when the pattern paper is placed can be checked, and a material can be saved. SOLUTION: The packaging box for the water heater covers an upper portion of an equipment body 1 and protects the upper portion of the equipment body 1 during transportation and storage. Since the packaging box 5 is formed with an indication means 5C for showing positions of a plurality of anchor bolts to be buried into a floor for fixing the equipment, it does not take time until it is used in a state of the pattern paper and the material can be saved.
