METHOD FOR DECOMPOSING BY-PRODUCT ON PRODUCTION OF (METH)ACRYLIC ACID COMPOUNDS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient and economical method for decomposing by- products on the production of (meth)acrylic acid compounds, comprising simultaneously and collectively decomposing Michael addition reaction products produced as by-products on the production of the (meth)acrylic acid and the (meth) acrylate, by which in the process for decomposing the Michael addition reaction products the production of one or more ether compounds and one or more olefin compounds as by-products can largely be reduced, while stably maintaining the high recovery of the (meth)acrylic acid, the (meth)acrylate and an alcohol. SOLUTION: This method for decomposing the by-products on the production of the (meth)acrylic acid compounds is characterized by thermally decomposing a mixture of the by-products on the production of the (meth)acrylic acid with the by-products on the production of the (meth)acrylate in a liquid phase and then returning at least one part of the thermal decomposition products to the process for producing the (meth)acrylate.
