The strip curtain has sliders (2) fitted in a curtain rail (1) and joined to each other by distance limiting components, which support free-hanging curtain strips (3) on vertical stop-limited rotatable pivot parts (4), each via a drive device (5). Each drive device has a pinion (6), which via a slip coupling (7) is connected with the corresponding pivot part and meshes with a ball chain (8) displaceably arranged in the curtain rail. The ball chain is fitted in two parallel guide channels (9,10), which when viewed cross-sectionally, are open on one side. The two guide channels extend, when the curtain rail is fitted, in the same horizontal plane.
