<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrooptical device wherein a cell gap can be kept constant over the entire surfaces of substrates although a conductive materials and the like exist. <P>SOLUTION: The electrooptical device is provided with a TFT array substrate (10) and a counter substrate (20) which are sandwiching an optoelectronic substance, the vertically conductive materials (106) for electric conduction between the substrates and a plurality of columnar spacers (401) disposed so as to be dotted within the plane parallel to the substrates for keeping the gap between the substrates in a prescribed thickness and disposed more sparsely in the vicinity of the conductive materials and more densely at other part within the plane. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
