PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lubricant composition having a low level of P, Cl and S and low volatility. SOLUTION: The lubricant composition contains a mixture comprising (a) a large amount of oil selected from a group consisting of group II, group III, group IV and synthetic ester-based stock oil; (b) an over based Ca or Mg salicylate lubricant cleaner; (c) an oil soluble organic molybdenum compound; (d) an ashless dispersant and (e) an additional antioxidant, and <0.2 mass% S, <50 mass ppm Cl and <50 mass ppm P and has≤15 mass% NOACK volatility.
