PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic controller for an automatic transmission which generates required high pressure in R range from line pressure by a simple structure. SOLUTION: A shift valve 30 is installed in a feedback circuit 19 communicated with a feedback port 18. Since reverse pressure is not impressed on a valve member 31 at the time of 'D range', the operation oil fed back is supplied to the feedback port 17 and the feedback port 18. Therefore, output pressure output from a primary valve 10 becomes low pressure. On the other hand, reverse pressure introduced from a reverse pressure generating part 44 is impressed on the valve member 31 at the time of 'R range', and the valve member 31 blockades the feedback circuit 19. Therefore, the operation oil fed back is supplied only to the feedback port 17 and output pressure output from the primary valve 10 is made required high pressure in R range.
