PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve speeding up by realizing both of prevention of belt skew and consumption energy reduction, in belt fixing. SOLUTION: In the belt fixing device having a fixing roller and a pressure belt, a heating source disposed in the fixing roller is divided into a plurality of parts in a longitudinal direction. Temperature control is exerted so that in a belt-skew control mode, temperature on the side where the pressure belt is skewed is higher in longitudinal temperature distribution.
