PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoreceptor drum manufacturing method and a photoreceptor drum manufacturing device good to environment by simultaneously removing the excess coating layers of a plurality of photoreceptor drums by a tape, finding out an area reusable to remove the coating layer from the used tape and serving it to remove the coating layer again, whereby the tape is efficiently used without causing wasteful use so as to realize the reduction of cost, resource economization and the decrease of waste disposal amount and to provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having high durability and high image quality. SOLUTION: In the photoreceptor drum manufacturing method having a stage for removing the coating layer on the surface of the end of the photoreceptor drum where the coating layer including a photoreceptive layer is formed by bringing the tape into contact with the surface of the end of the photoreceptor drum, the removal of the coating layer is performed on a plurality of photoreceptor drums simultaneously, and the removal of the coating layer and the carrying of the tape are performed based on information from a timing adjusting means.
