PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for fixation to a structure, a module, etc., which makes it possible to manufacture an optical fiber array where the positions of optical fibers are prescribed with high precision by an easy and realistic means as to the structure of an optical fiber array held and fixed between a V-groove substrate 11 and a fixed substrate. SOLUTION: The optical fiber array comprising the V-groove substrate where a plurality of V grooves for optical fiber installation are arrayed, optical fibers mounted in the V grooves, and a fixing substrate which holds the optical fibers in the V grooves of the V-groove substrate is characterized in that the fixing substrate is wider than the V-groove substrate in the array direction of the V grooves and the bottom surface of the fixing substrate that the optical fibers come into contact with has≤1μm flatness and 0.005 to 0.1μm mathematical mean roughness.
