PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily-manufacturable gas sensor having excellent noise resistance. SOLUTION: A passage forming member 20 of this gas sensor for detecting the concentration of gas in a passage having a prescribed volume is molded from a synthetic resin, and, in this case, a metal plate 36 is insert-molded in the bottom part of a storage part 22. A detection element body 40 is arranged in accordance with the upper opening of a measuring chamber 28, and an electronic circuit board 70 is mounted thereon. In addition, a case 80 is mounted to be fittable with the storage part 22. The case 80 is a metal plate, and both are conducted by using an erection part 83 provided on the metal plate 36 and the terminal 31d of a connector 31, and connected to an earthing line from a power source. As a result, the detection element body 40 and the electronic circuit board 70 are arranged inside an electromagnetic shield formed by the metal plate 36 and the case 80, to thereby secure the noise resistance.
