PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic wave conversion apparatus which is improved to suppress the interference of an ultrasonic wave signal propagated through a casing as compared with the conventional, especially for suppressed elastic wave in the radial direction. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic wave conversion apparatus comprises an ultrasonic wave convertor (42) and a filter (44) which supports the ultrasonic wave convertor (42). The filter (44) is connected to an ultrasonic wave generating flexible board (38) of the ultrasonic wave convertor (42). The filter (44) is provided with a turnaround component (52) which converts the radial strain (x<SB>2</SB>) of a first component (48) of the filter (44) into the strain in the twisting direction of a second component (50).
