PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ladder device for a work in an elevator shaft always provided in a pit in a laid down position at ordinary time and easily arranged in a use position when necessary. SOLUTION: The ladder 12 is always provided in a small storage space in a pit 2 in a laid down position at ordinary time. The ladder 12 is arranged in a erected used position rising upward from a retaining stand 11 or a separated use position in service. Consequently, it is not necessary to carry an exclusive step or the like in the pit 2 in every service in the elevator shaft and the ladder 12 can be temporally provided on a designated position with a simple operation in service. Accordingly, manpower for servicing is saved and working efficiency is improved. A problem that arrangement of elevator apparatus in the pit 2 is restricted by a space for always providing the pit 2 with the exclusive step or the like is solved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
