PAPER FOLDING MECHANISM FOR PRINTING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide high foldability by eliminating generation of folding failure caused by the horizontality of a folding surface being not kept properly, which was often found in the conventional technology. SOLUTION: This paper folding mechanism, used for folding paper delivered as a printing result with a printing apparatus for providing continuous paper of band shape with printing, includes a horizontality maintaining mechanism which detects a difference in weight caused by a difference in the thickness of the paper and maintains the paper folding surface so as to be always horizontal.
