FIELD: mechanical engineering; cooling systems of internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed heater for internal combustion engine with standard heating agent circulation drive contains heat accumulator connected to cooling line, temperature transmitter and additional heating agent circulation drive with control unit. Electric heater is installed in parallel with heat accumulator and additional drive. Electric heater is made in form of reservoir accommodating heating element connected with current source. Heater is connected with heat accumulator and cooling line by three- way cock.
