FIELD: construction industry, finishing of lengthy hollow building structures, for instance, beams and columns. SUBSTANCE: given building structure includes central bearing part, decorative thin-walled sheathing placed with clearance relative to central bearing part, supporting layer bordering on internal surface of decorative sheathing and partially filling space between decorative sheathing and central bearing part and power supports linking supporting layer to central bearing part. Supporting layer is made of reinforced foam plastic which reinforcing members are anchored on end sections of power supports with clearance relative to decorative sheathing and are completely covered with foam plastic. Supporting layer is adhesively coupled directly to internal surface of decorative sheathing. Process of manufacture of given building structure includes fabrication of central bearing part, attachment of power supports to it, fixing of supporting layer on power supports and anchoring of decorative sheathing on supporting layer. Supporting layer is formed from reinforced foam plastic with use of foaming self-hardening polymer material. To fix decorative sheathing on supporting layer reinforcing members are first anchored on end sections of power supports, then decorative sheathing is installed with clearance with reference to reinforcing members. Layer of non-hardened foaming polymer material with thickness exceeding clearance between reinforcing members and internal surface of decorative sheathing is applied to internal surface of decorative sheathing. Reinforcing members are embedded in non-hardened polymer material and decorative sheathing is fixed relative to reinforcing members till complete hardening of polymer material occurs.
