<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polybutylene succinate resin composition that has a beautiful color, a mechanical strength strong enough for practical application, is safe to an organism and the environment, and endowed with such functions as ability to be colored, bactericidal activity, and oxidation resistance, and a molded article of the resin composition. <P>SOLUTION: The functional polybutylene succinate composition comprises a polybutylene succinate resin as the principal ingredient, one or more kind of pigments selected from the group of the natural pigments consisting of curcumin, turmeric, and gardenia yellow, and one or more kind of biosufactants selected from the group consisting of a sophorolipid, a rhamnolipid, and a surfactin produced by a hydrocarbon-assimilating microorganism.
