PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that bending stress of an outer ring is increased by a bending load of the outer ring due to a rolling load and that peel is generated in a short time in a rolling bearing to be used in a light alloy housing having small rigidity such as aluminum, for example, a rolling bearing for alternator of a vehicle. SOLUTION: Minimum thickness To of a track surface 3 of the outer ring 2 is set at a value larger by 20% than a ball diameter D. Even if rigidity of the bearing housing is low, a bearing having a long service life can be realized. The minimum thickness To of the track surface of the outer ring is set larger than the minimum thickness Ti of the track surface of an inner ring to eliminate a necessity of forming the minimum thickness of the track surface of the inner ring especially large, and since a necessity of forming thickness of the whole of the bearing especially large is eliminated, the bearing can be arranged in a current bearing housing space. Thickness of the outer ring is set larger by 5-50% in relation between the minimum thickness of the track surface of the outer ring and the minimum thickness of the track surface of the inner ring.
