PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinge device easy to be integrally provided with members to be connected to each other without having a shaft member, and to provide a file using the same. SOLUTION: This hinge device for separably connecting members to each other freely to turn around the predetermined axis L in relation to each other is provided with a turning part 4, which is provided with a guide surface 41a set in one of the members and a surface 42a provided in the other member and to be guided along the guide surface 41a to turn the other member around the axis L and which is structured freely to separate the guide surface 41a and the surface 42a to be guided from each other in a direction crossing the axis L, and an engagement part 5, which has an engaging claw 51 provided in one of the members and set at a different position from the turning part 4 along the axis L direction and a claw 52 provided in the other member and to be engaged with the engaging claw 51 freely to turn around the axis L and which prevents the separating operation of the guide surface 41a and the surface 42a to be guided from each other by engaging the engaging claw 51 and the claw 52 to be engaged with each other. Engagement of the engagement part 5 is released by elastically deforming the engagement part 5 to allow movements of both the members for approach and separation in a direction crossing the axis L.
