PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-priming pump that shortens a self-priming time by efficiently discharging air in the pump and improving self-priming performance. SOLUTION: The self-priming pump 1 integrally comprises a motor part 10 with a water suction opening 11, a pump part 20 with a pump chamber 21 and a water flow chamber 22, and a discharge part 30 with a discharge passage 31 and a discharge opening 32, wherein a rotor 12 with a magnetic element 13 is rotatably disposed in the motor part 10, an impeller 23 disposed in the pump chamber 21 delivers fluid to the discharge passage 31 via the water flow chamber 22 so that the fluid is discharged from the discharge opening 32, and a water passage hole 25 is defined from the water flow chamber 22 to the pump chamber 21. The fluid in the water flow chamber 22 is delivered to the discharge passage 31 in the form of a vortex 45, and a bulkhead 40 is disposed in the water flow chamber 22 to separate the vortex 45 and the water passage hole 25.
