PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain stable detection results using a simple constitution, while obtaining satisfactory detection sensitivity regarding the presence or the absence of a body to be detected. SOLUTION: By arranging coils 13c and 13d of excitation and a coil 12 for detection, separately from each other and performing detection, on the basis of the balance between the pair of coils 13c and 13d for excitation, it is possible to highly sensitively determine the remaining amount of change, after the offsetting and elimination of impedance due to direct current resistance, etc., with satisfactory lineality through the use of a compact core body 11 and to perform stable detection operation regarding the presence or absence of the body to be detected with an inexpensive circuit, without using a conventional constant current circuit, regardless of the temperature variations of the environment.
