摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively use a liquid crystal display device improved in a visual angle characteristic of TN liquid crystal to the use limited in usage by utilizing the visual angle characteristic as effectively as possible. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display comprises aγ-conversion circuit (1) having a plurality ofγ-conversion circuit pairs for obtaining a desired V-T characteristic, a change-over circuit (2) thereof, an offset voltage control part (5) for offset-controlling a video signal voltage to be applied to liquid crystal pixels, a visual angle adaptive control circuit (4) for controlling eachγ-data setting and its change-over pattern to theγ-conversion circuit (1) and theγ- change-over circuit forγ-modulation, and a liquid crystal panel (6), and always performs optimal control by synchronizing the offset voltage control with theγ-modulation control. Thus, the optimalγ-modulation can be added in the direction after shifting the optimal visual angle direction by controlling the offset voltage, and the shift of the optimal visual angle direction and the expansion of the visual angle characteristic can be made compatible.
