PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin composition whose oxygen absorbency can be easily controlled and which has persistent oxygen absorbency, to obtain a laminate by combining the resin composition with various barrier layers and having oxygen barrier properties and oxygen absorbency, and a package made by using it. SOLUTION: The oxygen-absorbent resin composition is obtained by blending 100 pts.wt. of a resin composition comprising 50-99 wt.% of a thermoplastic resin and 1-50 wt.% of an alicyclic unsaturated compound or its derivative, with 0.001-2 pts.wt. of a compound containing a transition metal and 0.001-2 pts.wt. of a photosensitizer.
