PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AST (Airway Specific Trypsin-like Protease) inhibitor which is clinically applicable as a prophylactic and/or therapeutic agent for chronic respiratory tract diseases. SOLUTION: The AST inhibitor comprises a guanidine derivative represented by a general formula (I) (wherein A is methylene group, ethylene group or vinylene group; R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are same or different and they are each hydrogen atom or a 1-3C alkyl group), its pharmaceutically acceptable salt or its solvation product.
