The refuse collecting vehicle has a running board (20) for an operator in the rear region and which is movable between a raised and a lowered position. An optical or infrared additional sensor is installed in the region of the running board and establishes if an operator is standing on the running board. A sensor to register the position of the running board is an inclination sensor connected to the running board or arm supporting it, and generates a signal lifting the restrictions if the running board is pivoted by an angle which makes stepping onto the running board impossible. |
