A catalytic method for reducing malodorous emissions in combustion gases from fossil fuel burning installations involves contacting the gases with a reducing catalyst in the absence of separately added additives. An Independent claim is also included for a fossil fuel burning installation with a gas-tight connection to a reducing catalyst.
