FIELD: sugar industry; selection of technological mode and automation of massecuite centrifuging process. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes delivery of massecuite to rotor, separation into runoff syrup and crystals and discharge form centrifuge housing. Part of air is evacuated from housing, heated in calorifier, humidified by steam and is delivered to rotor for maintenance of preset temperature of massecuite separation. Temperature and amount of taken air are set depending on preset ratio of mass of separated runoff syrup to mass of delivered massecuite per unit of time. Proposed method makes it possible to increase productivity of centrifuge by 1.5-1.7 times, reduce color of sugar by 27-30 units and reduce losses of sugar in runoff syrup by 0.1-0.2%.
