<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display panel which can obtain both of brightness on the reflection type display and saturation on the transmission type display. <P>SOLUTION: This liquid crystal display panel has a plurality of sub pixels 5 corresponding to colors which are different to each other. Reflection layers 21 overlap one part of the respective sub pixels 5 and are disposed on second substrates 20 in such a manner that the total periphery is located within the sub pixels 5. On the other hand, color filters 12 are disposed on first substrates 10 which are located on the observer side so as to overlap the respective sub pixels 5.
