PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing method of an electrifying member which can be reused by eliminating stuck matter to the surface of the electrifying member. SOLUTION: The washing method of an electrophotographic type electrifying member electrifying a body to be electrified by being pressed to the surface of the body to be electrified, is characterized in that it contains a process to wash the surface of the electrifying member at least more than once by acidic water solution.
