PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speech storage device which can store and reproduce a speech from a low frequency band to a high frequency band according to a user's choice. SOLUTION: The speech storage device equipped with a speech input means (speech input/output part 18) and a storage means (storage media 14) which stores sound data that the speech input means picks up has a frequency analyzing means (speech processing part 15) of analyzing the frequency of the sound data inputted from the speech input means and a sampling rate setting means (system control part 11) of optionally setting a sampling rate for the sound data according to the analysis result of the frequency analyzing means; and the sampling rate is optionally set according to the analysis result of the frequency analyzing means and stored in the storage means.
