PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus and an information processing method for reducing the waiting time of a CPU and an external memory by storing the same information in a high-speed memory and a low- speed memory and arbitrating the memory to be accessed by the CPU. SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus 100 has a CPU 10 for extracting information stored in a high-speed memory 200 and a low-speed memory 300, a memory access control apparatus 20 for controlling which memory the CPU 10 is to acquire information from, a high-speed memory control part 30 for controlling access to the high-speed memory 200, a low-speed memory control part 40 for controlling access to the low-speed memory, and a sub- processor 50 for extracting the information stored in the high-speed memory.
