PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roof material having an unprecedented external appearance and formed with a reinforced waterproof function, a heat insulating function, a moisture condensation preventing function and a snow guard function. SOLUTION: This roof material A is so formed that a vertical piece 4a is formed in a side edge in the width direction by upward projecting the tip of a weathering side of a decorative surface 4 of a metal roof material B formed into a male female connecting structure and the vertical piece 4a is bent to the weathering side to be formed into a projecting piece 4b.
