PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for charging an auxiliary material in an RH vacuum degassing tank, which can adequately charge the auxiliary material into a molten steel pot in RH vacuum degassing treatment, with a simple operation and a compact structure, at a low cost of equipment, without giving influence on an existing sampling device and a temperature measurement device. SOLUTION: The charging device is characterized by several tubular charging chutes 12, which extend to the bottom end of the lower tank 1b from a charging hopper 11 installed on a fixed deck of an upper part outside the RH vacuum degassing tank 1, along an outer surface of the upper tank 1a and the lower tank 1b of the RH vacuum degassing tank 1, and of which the outlets are arranged so as to surround a periphery of the lower tank 1b.
