PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the excessive abrasion of a friction clutch and to appropriately maintain the function of a differential mechanism. SOLUTION: This differential limiting mechanism fastens friction clutches 9, 9 which restrict the differential of a differential mechanism 7 distributing the driving force of an engine rotating a rotary case 5 to wheel sides from side gears 27, 29 by meshing reaction of the gears 27, 29. Abutting parts 11, 11 are formed on the case 5. When the abrasion of the clutches 9, 9 reaches a given value, the gap between the abutting parts 11, 11 is set so that the case 5 and the gears 27, 29 abut each other. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
