PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the through-put of a whole system under an environment where the turn-around time of a parallel program is guaranteed. SOLUTION: Processes A1-A3 and B1-B2 to be generated from parallel programs A and B are respectively assigned to the processing time zones of processors 1-3 according to a time corresponding to a processor distribution ratio preliminarily set for each parallel program. In this case, whether or not parallel processes PA1-PA3 to be generated from the parallel program A can be assigned to a spare time zone P to which any process is not assigned among the processing time zones of each of those processors so as to be operable in parallel is decided, and when the parallel operation is possible, the parallel processes PA1-PA3 are additionally assigned to the spare time zone P (a step S2). Then, the processors 1-3 are made to execute the parallel processes assigned to the processing time zone of each of those processors (a step S3). COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
