PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing wall structure of a building excellent in workability capable of greatly improving rigidity in the horizontal direction of a house having a wooden framework structure. SOLUTION: A rectangular frame member 22 coming into contact with skelton members 13, 14 and 16 is fitted inside of a space in the vertical direction formed by a column 14 as a skelton member in the vertical direction of the building, a sill 13 as a skelton member in the horizontal direction, a beam 16 and the other horizontal member. A diagonal member 24 such as a brace or the like is provided inside of the frame member 22, and the frame member 22 and the diagonal member 24 comprise steel materials. A lower fixed member 26 for fixing the frame member 22 to a strip footing 11 in the vertical direction and an upper fixed member 36 for fixing the frame member 22 to the horizontal member such as a girder or a beam 16 or the like are provided. Stabilizing members 44 respectively fixed to the strip footing 11 and the beam 16 are provided to the opposite side of the frame member 22 by holding the column 14 as the axial member in the vertical direction.
