GASIFIER FOR BIOLOGICAL RESOURCE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gasifier that can convert solid biological resource to fuel gas through thermal-chemical reaction. SOLUTION: The gasifier is equipped with a reactor (R) having an opening at the upper part through which air is sucked in, a means for feeding the solid biological resource from the upper part (U) into the reactor (R) and an air nozzle (N) that is set to the lower wall of the reactor at a height of about 1/3 of the wall from the bottom. The solid biological resource is held with grids in the reactor and a high-temperature zone (B) is retained by feeding the air from the upper part of the reactor promoting removal of the volatile component in the biological resource and partial gasification of the carbide and by feeding the air from the air nozzle. The hot air generated is exhausted from the reactor, cooled down, filtered and used for power generation. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
