DYNAMIC DISTRIBUTED METHOD FOR LOCAL PROTECTION OF A LABEL-SWITCHING PATH

Method for protection of label switching paths in a multiprotocol label-switching network (MPLS) comprises a plurality of nodes linked by IP. In a first phase, a path node upstream of the element to be protected is linked by a bypass tunnel to a point downstream of the element when an input node requires the protection of a path element. In a second phase the network resources are reserved for each of the bypass tunnel links to secure the link in case of failure of the protected element.
