The invention relates to a composite membrane, which combines the advantages of inorganic membranes, such as solvent resistance and stability, with the advantages of organic membrane materials. This composite membrane is comprised of a ceramic supporting layer, which is applied to a support containing polymer fibers, and of a ceramic selectively separating layer. The pore sizes of the membranes can be adjusted by the production conditions of the ceramic selective separating layer.
