<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a package easily preventing the fruits/vegetables therein from getting moldy. <P>SOLUTION: The freshness-retaining package is such one that fruits, vegetables, fruit vegetables or mushroom are contained in an air-permeable polymeric film; wherein the ethanol concentration in the sealed package is 0.001-3 wt.%. The polymeric film is provided with micropore(s) and/or flaw(s)≥0.06 mm<SP>2</SP>in opening area, the package having preferably at least one such micropore and/or flaw. Furthermore, when the fruits/vegetables are sealed with the polymeric film, it is preferable, after 48 h, that the oxygen, carbon dioxide and ethanol concentrations in the package be 0.5-10 wt.%, 10-25 wt.% and 0.001-3 wt.% (preferably 0.05-0.5 wt.%), respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
