摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an innovative solid-liquid separation method in which object materials to be flocculated and removed in various kinds or raw water can be separated therefrom with extremely high speed and by a very simple operation, and also to provide an apparatus used for the same. SOLUTION: A polymer flocculant, or an inorganic flocculant and the polymer flocculant, and buoyant solid particles having specific gravity lower than that of water are added to raw water and stirred. The object materials to be flocculated and removed in the raw water are stuck to the surface of the solid particles and then the water containing the solid particles to which the object materials are stuck is fed to a vessel for generating turning flow. The solid particles are assembled to the center of the whirling eddy due to the turning flow and separated from the water, and the treated water in which the solid particles are removed is flowed out. Preferably, flocks are peeled and removed from the solid particles separated from the water and the buoyant solid particles that are recovered are circulated for use. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
