<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer in which print processing can be carried out efficiently without being affected by data related to print delivered from an external unit. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU 19a generates a print job consisting of address information of stored image data of an image to be printed and the number specifying the sheets to be printed and that print job is cued in an RAM 19d. Under a state where the print job has been cued in the RAM 19d, the CPU 19a controls an I/O interface 11 not to accept data from a personal computer 21.
