PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bar steel cutting method to cut a steel slab. SOLUTION: The residual stress distribution and the yield stress distribution in the slab are estimated or measured, the slab is cut while adjusting the heat input condition according to the residual stress distribution and the yield stress distribution, and any deformation is prevented by canceling the camber generated in the cut bar.
