PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hairpin with excellent safety and hardly dropped out. SOLUTION: This hairpin 10 comprises a U-shaped body 12. Swollen parts 16 are provided on two tip parts 14 of the body 12, respectively. Each swollen part 16 is formed in an elliptic shape having a circular front view and a substantially elastic side view. Instead of the swollen parts 16, swollen parts 18 swollen to the inside or formed mutually opposite, swollen parts 20 having a substantially vertically long elliptic spherical outer shape, or swollen parts 22 having substantially a heart-shaped vertical sectional shape may be provided.
