PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a paper is shifted heretofore on the way of reading because a newspaper is not subjected to saddle stitching and a state hard to read is generated. SOLUTION: In this simple saddle stitching method for a newspaper, a trapezoidal cut 1 is provided to the middle folded part of the newspaper, and the respective newspaper sheets are folded along the cut 1 to be brought to a pressure contact fixed state by a heat roller or the like to prevent the shift of the newspaper. Since the newspaper is not shifted by this constitution, the newspaper is easily read. Especially, in a case reading a newspaper in a tram car or the like or the same newspaper is read by a plurality of persons, paper surfaces are not shifted to be made convenient to read. A spray size is applied to the cut part thinly before the pressure contact with the heat roller but, since foreign matter such as a metal or the like is not used, it can be recovered as it is.
