The bed (1) has a frame (2) including a mattress receiving surface i.e. sleeping surface (3), and four interchangeable fall protection barrier elements (4, 5) that are placed around the surface of the frame. Two of the four fall protection barrier elements are interchangeable, and a set of coupling units (6, 7) is provided between each protection barrier element and the frame in a removable manner with regard to the barrier elements and the frame. |
