PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooking container, having good thermal efficiency and convenient for use by solving the problem of the conventional cooking container such as pots and pans. SOLUTION: A bent part 4 obtained by press forming of a metal plate and formed by bending outward the upper opening edge A of a container body 2 is integrated at a suitable width with the outer peripheral surface near the upper opening edge A of the container body 2, and the edge of the bent part 4 is formed obliquely upward to form a flange part 3, thereby forming an annular receiving groove 5 on the outer periphery of the container body 2 between the flange part 3 and the bend part 4 to constitute this container 1. The flange part 3 of the container 1 is improved in thermal efficiency of the container by receiving heat and flame transferred from the bottom of the container body 2 to the drum part in heating, and the flange part 3 can be used as a handle of the container so as to contribute to convenience for use.
